I was born in 1945 and raised by pioneers on a farm in Alberta, Canada. My great aunt and uncle were chosen by my mother who died of breast cancer when I was one year old. Rural life was great for a young boy, being around farm animals and surrounded by nature. I was emphatically taught the importance of common sense and integrity, which has for eight decades been my guiding light.

After finishing school at Alberta College in Edmonton I enjoyed a couple of jobs before moving to Vancouver. Here I joined the charter airline Wardair and met the love of my life, Madeleine (we recently celebrated our 53rd Anniversary). After a few moves between provinces, we settled in Toronto to open Wardair’s new advertising department. In the late 1970s I started my own advertising business and have been doing that ever since, only stepping back 2024. My lifelong interest in philosophical subjects has inspired me to share these ideas in the hope they will inspire thought about why we are here and what can we do to be happy.

Since the 1980s I have been eagerly studying universal spirituality, attending workshops, reading books, watching videos, and like many others, contemplating the meaning of life. I am especially intrigued by the new evidence-based findings about the NDE (Near Death Experience) as well as the role quantum mechanics may play with consciousness.

In my spare time I enjoy swimming slowly, golfing poorly and occasionally chasing grandchildren. Our two lovely daughters and their energetic families live in Australia.
